Assistant Psychologist
I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of St Andrews in 2024 and have since been working in both educational and clinical contexts with a focus on neurodevelopmental conditions.
Here at Autism North East I support the service and the team through a range of administrative and project-based tasks and with various aspects of the assessment and intervention process.
Alongside this, I work in a specialist educational school for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), where I support pupils with a range of learning, communication, and sensory needs. I have developed a strong understanding of how neurodivergent profiles can affect daily life in school settings and beyond, and the importance of tailoring approaches to each child’s unique strengths and needs. This experience has given me a deeper appreciation for the vital link between education and clinical understanding, particularly in the early identification and support of children with ASD and its associated conditions.
I am passionate about improving access to neurodiversity-affirming services that are thoughtful, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of those we support.
