Therapy and Support

Getting a diagnosis is just the beginning of a new journey – a different way to understand our lives and a fresh way to see the world and our place within it. It is also an opportunity for others to understand us in a different way.

We provide personalised interventions, therapies and support according to individual needs, and we work hand in hand with adults, children and parents to ensure the best care and support.

For CHILDREN we offer support around:

  • Understanding the diagnosis and how it affects your child and your family
  • Using his/her strengths to build resilience and confidence
  • Improving school/college experiences – including linking with schools and colleges to support adaptations needed
  • Building Emotional regulation
  • Understanding and Integrating Sensory Processing
  • Navigating Friendships and Sibling relationships
  • Understanding and tackling Panic/Anxiety, including Social Anxiety and Phobias
  • Addressing Low mood
  • Help in communicating with others
  • Tackling Sleep/Night-time worries
  • Developing Continence/toileting skills

For ADULTS we offer support around:

  • Understanding yourself and your life in the context of a Neurodevelopmental Difference
  • Understanding your strengths and ways to use them
  • Finding your way through and around things that are more challenging
  • Talking to others about your diagnosis
  • Adaptations that can be helpful at University or at Work

Offered by:

  • Clinical Psychologists
  • Speech and Language Therapists – Language based interventions
  • Occupational Therapist – Sensory Processing and Regulation
  • Specialist Teacher – School/College related advice, support and help with EHCP planning

We are all Senior Clinicians who are very experienced in working with adults, children and young people with a wide range of difficulties, and if we feel that a different type of help is needed we can work jointly with other services appropriate.
