Specialist Occupational Therapist, PGCert, BSc (Hons)
I first learned about Occupational Therapy (OT) and the difference it can make for children and their families while I was volunteering overseas. I was inspired to study OT and returned home to study at Northumbria University. I graduated with my degree in 2010 and was fortunate to start supporting children and their families soon after through OT.
I began supporting children with a wide variety of conditions throughout County Durham and Darlington. I soon discovered a passion for helping children with neurodevelopmental conditions particularly Autism, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Developmental Coordination Disorder (Dyspraxia) and Sensory Integration. I completed specialist training in each of these areas and moved to a service contributing to second opinions for Autism diagnoses.
